Writing and Speaking

Mr. Trotter is a regular speaker and writer on such topics as the craft of conducting, professional development for conductors, and the role of the performing arts in society.  He has published articles in several national and regional music publications, and is a contributing author of the upcoming book Teaching Music Through Performance in Choir – Volume 3, to be released this summer by well-known music publisher GIA.  

Through his work, Mr. Trotter has developed a keen interest in the nature and necessity of leadership, how to find and keep good mentors, and the vital importance of maintaining and nurturing a vision.  He continues to learn every day, and enjoys encouraging others to do the same through his work as a writer, educator, and keynote speaker.
